Album et Rubrum is part of our series commemorating Polish history. Created in the 16th century, the wood carving is sourced from Adam Chachrowski’s “Rzeczy Rozmaite” published in 1598. The scene presents both Polish and Turk cavalrymen. The originally wood-etched design was edited at Blanc et Rouge, further pigment printed on a soft organic cotton, to create the envelope flap on the cushion. The cushion’s body is made of pre-softened pure linen. The front is made of white linen, while the back is made of red linen to capture the essence of Blanc et Rouge. All our cushions include a duck feather insert, and the iconic B&R zipper. Proudly handmade in Poland.
